[Mapserver-west] Mapserver for debian stable?

I work for a small City in Snohomish County Washington
and would like to try putting some of our City's GIS info on-line
to show how open source can be used for public info.
 
I'd like to painlessly install mapserver 4.10 on a debian stable
server. 
To see how we might use mapserver.  The server has installed on it:

Apache/2.0.54 (Debian GNU/Linux) 
mod_python/3.1.3 
Python/2.3.5 
PHP/4.4.4-0.dotdeb.1 
mod_perl/1.999.21 
Perl/v5.8.4 Server
MySQL 4.

Has a .deb package been created for apt-get?
Any pitfalls or places to look for good examples.
