Jeff & Franck, thanks a lot for your responses.

I will try to compile with gdal 1.3.1.

IMHO It should be nice to include in the ms4w distribution the gdad/ogr include and the corresponding import library.
This shouldn't dramatically increase the size of the distrib and would ease the developement of compatible plugins.

The "windows build kit" will be a really good option if it includes as many drivers than the FWTools distrib.
