Yes that is possible.  I have filed a bug for this 
(http://bugzilla.maptools.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1783), so you should add 
yourself in the CC of this bug to follow it, comment, test it after 
releasing, etc.  As for when, I would say for the next MS4W release, 
which is probably before the FOSS4G conference in September.
