[Proj] Distance calculations

What do I think?
His numerical integration method is way too simple to be practical and he 
doesn't address all difficulties like the correct azimuth quadrant and 
problems with numerical precision of transcendental functions.
For all geodetic purposes the Vincenty method has proved to be accurate 
enough and very efficient.
Note that although a _good_ numerical method can give near arbitrary 
precision for the geodesic, the actual earth' dimensions are not known with 
greater accuracy than some centimeters, even if a tidal-free model is 
assumed.
