[rosa-users] query in new window problemsMartin, Daniel DMartin@erac.comTue, 7 Jan 2003 10:41:11 -0600

Sounds to me that at the time of the submit your zoomsize isn't = 1. What I like to do to determine the cause of problems like this is run the DOM viewer script from http://www.brainjar.com/dhtml/domviewer/. During my debugging, I have the JS open the DOM viewer in a new window at the specific time I'm interested in (in your case, on submit). This catches the DOM at a moment in time so I can see all the values of my form, among other things. Of course, if you have an expensive IDE, you may already be able to see the DOM real time - in which case that script is unnecessary. -Dan > -----Original Message----- > From: Van Ulden, Joost [mailto:jvanulde@nrcan.gc.ca] > Sent: Monday, January 06, 2003 8:18 PM > To: 'rosa-users@dmsolutions.ca' > Subject: [rosa-users] query in new window problems > > > We have just implemented the Rosa applet in place of the > standard html form. > We are very impressed with the performance and ease of > implementation. > > We are still having one small problem, for some reason when > you query a > feature (we open a new window and send the results to it) > then turn on or > off a layer (without clicking on a button Rosa button) > mapserver sends the > map back with the layer on/off but zoomed in/out or panned > with the center > of the map being the point you queried. > > Everything worked fine in the html version of the > application, and the layer > toggle works properly if you don't query the map.
