[Chameleon] Does chameleon have a WMS CLIENT?

After taking a look at the following page:

I have the following question:
If I understood correctly, the chameleon project doesn't have a WMS 
client, since it needs an intermediary chameleon server to run?
That means, the Web client can't access the WMS server directly?

I need a WMS client that can run in a browser and can access a WMS 
server directly.
