[Chameleon] Integrating ka-Map with Chameleon?

Hello,

I was just looking through the archives and see that there was some 
discussion last year about integrating ka-Map into Chameleon.  I'm 
wondering if anyone has started any work in this area.  We'd like to 
implement cached tiles and continuous panning in our application at 
some point and would consider putting some funding towards the 
project.  Anyone have an idea of what it would take?
