[FWTools] Problems with gdal installation

Hi Luis, this message is better suited to the gdal-dev mailing list 
http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/gdal-dev/  as you don't appear 
to be using fwtools (which is a special distribution of gdal).
