Sorry Chaitanya, It is still giving me the same issue.

The shell is not pointing to the old library as this is removed. I am also using the OSGeo4W shell.

Have you any more clues?

This is driving me nuts!

Steve,

Perhaps your shell is still pointing to the old library. In OSGeo4W, commandline applications should be run in the "OSGeo4W Shell" command window.

Many thanks.

I have just installed this, and the oracle plugin, executed the same command and get the same error.

ogr2ogr -f OCI OCI:username/password at instance c:\vmd\merged\area\*.SHP GEOMETRY_NAME=GEOMETRY MULTI_LOAD=TRUE SRID=27700

Is the syntax any different for the oracle plugin?

Thanks, steve

Steve,

Try OSGeo4W instead of FWTools. It has an Oracle 10g plugin as a separate package.

Hi All,

I have installed FWTools on windows, and have a requirement to load a lot of shapefiles in to a single Oracle Spatial table. It seems I can do this using FWTools using a batch file.

The issue I am having, is that I am getting the Unable to find driver `OCI' message.

Can someone share with me the procedure for enabling OCI support with FWTools? I have installed the Oracle client, and configured successfully the name service.

I am using the line:

ogr2ogr -f OCI OCI:<username>/<password>@<netservicename> *.SHP GEOMETRY_NAME=GEOMETRY MULTI_LOAD=TRUE SRID=27700

Anyones help on this would be greatly appreciated. I am using windows 7.

Thanks,
Steve W
