[ka-Map-users] xmlOverlay Issues

I was having and still am having some problems with the overlays.

1) New overlay issue... I am working on a Mac and using Firefox as my browser. I can see symbol bullets fine on this setup, they show up perfect, but I just looked at my maps on Internet Explorer on a PC and I don't see the symbols, only the labels. So instead of having a bunch of dots, I just have the label text, which is hard to read among the other map data. Other's have confirmed not seeing any symbols, just the labels, so I don't think it's my PC setup. Any suggestions?
 
 on a side note. I don't see labels, symbols, or icons on Safari on Mac, and Firefox on a PC works the same as the Mac (symbols are perfect, icons render strangely)

This is the point info in the xml file:

   <icon src="/images/dot.gif" h="19" w="19" />
 </point>

It looks like this at all zoom levels. I was told to change xmlOverlayUseCanvas = false, but can't find that variable. Any other suggestions will be great too.
