Hi Paul

Many thanks for your help. Strangely enough, I had compiled with proj, but I 
rebuilt the mapscript.so and the problem seems to be resolved.

I am still left with three problems:

In the mapeditor module, if I try to use the default .gif reference map, map 
creation fails. I presume you have built your mapscript with a version of GD 
that has gif support?

Also, in the mapeditor module, trying to preview any layers that are annotated 
raises an error:

Warning: MapServer Error in msGetLabelSize(): Could not find/open font in 
/var/www/maplab/htdocs/mapedit/preview.php on line 437
 
 Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in 
/var/www/maplab/htdocs/mapedit/preview.php(444) : eval()'d code on line 1

I presume this is a freetype problem? Although I am not sure what is needed to 
resolve this? I am currently using freetype2 on debian.

In the mapfactory module I am getting an error that seems to be related to a 
poorly configured path somewhere:

Warning: MapServer Error in msLoadMap(): 
(/var/www/maplab//var/www/maplab-2.0rc3//tutorial/tutorial.map) in 
/var/www/maplab/htdocs/gmapfactory/build_phtml.php on line 1274
 
 
Any pointers to getting these last couple of hitches sorted out will be 
greatly appreciated!
