[maplab-users] query returns no results

I just discovered an interesting FYI.

I have a GMapFactory app that works just fine except for queries which
*always* return a "Layer ... returned no results" message. Previous
posts indicate that the query function is broken in MapLab.

Since then my MapLab app is now broken (a separate frustrating stor :( )
and in an flurry of actions to try to fix it, I took a wild leap and
downloaded the latest nightly build of Mapserver3.7. According to the
maplab documentation, Mapserver3.7 is not supported by MapLab. However,
the GMapFactory app that I created, which works just fine using
php_mapscript36.so, ALSO works great using php_mapscript37.so. In fact,
it works even BETTER as now the query function actually works and
returns query results!! The ONLY change I made to my GmapFactory app
was to define a different value for MS_MODULE (php_mapscript37.so
instead of php_mapscript.so) in the globprefs.php file. Apparently
mapscript37 is backwards compatible to the mapscript36 syntax since I
didn't have to change any of the mapscript code or function calls.

Nice. Now if only I could get MapLab working again :{ ...
