Hi Valerio,
Thanks for your reply. For what I'm trying to do, this is a major, major sticking point. (To Rosa developers) Is there no plan to rectify this?

Jo,
in my experience, Rosa works with Sun Jvm too but it is much slower (and unstable)
I posted a thread ("Rosa applet and Virtual machines") last year on mailing list
(sorry I cannot access the exact link).
I found no solution to this problem.
