More seriously, we just take each package one by one and build and 
include them in the distribution (sounds simple when said this way, but 
it's quite a task). In the case of the FGS Linux distribution, this is 
now all automated and all the build scripts are available via CVS. See 
the link under "Building it" at the bottom of the FGS webpage.
