Thanks anyway,

Any more suggestions?

  Hi Luis,

Try downloading the appropriate PIL version from their website (can't remember but try www.pythonware.com/products/pil/) and installing it. It helped me when I was using a python tool with my application. It was always giving errors till I installed the PIL. All the best.

Subject: [MS4W-Users] Problem with Python GDAL utilities

Hi list,

I'm trying to use GDAL utilities (*.py) located in "C:\ms4w\python\gdal\utilities"
But i'm getting errors like:

ImportError: No module named _gdal

This is my setup:
    MS4W 2.3.1 , Python 2.5.4,
    PYTHONPATH=C:\ms4w\python\gdal
    PATH=C:\Python25
    setenv.bat done

There is a "strange" file named _gdal.dll located in "C:\ms4w\python\gdal" but no _gdal.py

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Luis Tavares
