[MS4W-Users] internal server error 500

Hi all,
            After following the instructions in the readme.txt file i encountered a problem while testing apache ms4w web server..after typing localhost in the URL i got the internal server error..the error logs show the following:
(OS 14001)This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.  : couldn't create child process: 734001: php-cgi.exe
(OS 14001)This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.  : couldn't spawn child process: C:/ms4w/Apache/cgi-bin/php-cgi.exe
Please guide me on what to do further
