Are you trying to load the applet using a URL ? Do you get a security execpetion (sometyhing like java.security.AccessControlException) ? If that is the case you may want to check the java.plicy file on the remote server to see if you can add seeting to allow the connection. I havn't trued it myselef but try to google and there are some suggestions on that.
