[FWTools] gdalinfo stats calculation

Hello all,

I've got a bunch of geotiff files I created by tiling up a large HFA (.img)
file.  When I run a "gdalinfo -stats" on each tile, they contain the
statistical information from the parent image and not for each individual
tile.  Is there a way get the -stats option to output the correct
information without writing a new, stripped tile?
